Directions: Harris Cemetery

From Indianapolis, you can take State Road 135 South to Johnson County and take West Division(turn to the right); or from I-65 take State Road 44 West (Franklin, Exit 90) and go to State Road 135 and turn North (Right) and go up to West Division.

I drove Division Road this morning. Harris Cemetery is there; it is not the one I was thinking about. I don't know why I didn't think of that one, but I was looking in White River Twp. The cemetery is a rather small one, but is still active. If coming to the cemetery yourself, Division Road is south of Bargersville. Go about 2-3 miles south of Bargersville on State Road 135. There is a sign pointing to Union Elementary School. Turn right (West). The school is about 1 1/2 miles or so, then go straight for another 3/4 mile or so. The cemetery is on the right (North) side of the road. It is fenced in, and there is a gate. Access should be pretty easy.

The cemetery is right on the road, if you walk inside so to the top of the grade and Joshua's Gravesite is to your right, there is an old marker and a military marker. It would be nice to have those two stones cleaned up with water and a soft brush or a photo flo chemical that can clean those black markings off the stones for its future.
